Do you charge for travel?

Accepted Answer

Yes, travel is charged at $0.95 per kilometre from my home in Doyleston, Canterbury NZ, and is calculated based on the distance to and from your event location. This will be included in your quote so all costs are clear and transparent from the outset.

How can I book you?

To make a booking, simply visit the Contact page and complete the enquiry form, or email me directly at nicolehannenlive@gmail.com I’ll be in touch to confirm availability and discuss your event details. Bookings are secured once confirmation has been issued and a deposit has been received.

How far in advance should I book you?

Accepted Answer

I’d love to be part of your special day. I recommend booking as early as possible (ideally 8–12 months in advance) to ensure your date is secured. You’re very welcome to enquire and book even further ahead than this if you’re planning in advance, as dates do fill quickly.

How long do you perform for?

Accepted Answer

I generally perform for the duration of your booking. For a 1-hour canapé, cocktail hour, or dinner reception set, I perform continuously without any long breaks. For 2-hour bookings, I include a short 10-minute break to keep my voice healthy and ensure I’m performing at my best for the full duration of your event.

Can I request specific songs?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely! Song requests must be sent at least 6 weeks before your wedding. Requests within 6 weeks may be possible but may incur an additional fee.

Do you provide your own sound equipment?

Accepted Answer

Yes, I bring my own sound system and microphone. I require a safe, covered performance space, ideally with access to power. However, I can also perform without power if needed, as my speakers have built-in battery capability.

Do you travel outside of Canterbury?

Accepted Answer

Yes, I love travelling for weddings! Travel is $0.95/km, with time outside Canterbury billed at $35/hr. Accommodation and flights (if needed) are covered by the couple.

What happens if you are unwell or unable to perform?

Accepted Answer

Your wedding day is so important to me, and I never want to add any stress! If I’m only slightly under the weather, I’ll do my absolute best to perform. However, if I’m too unwell (for example, no voice, high fever, extreme illness) or injured (unable to walk or in hospital), I may not be able to perform. In that case, I will do my very best to arrange a suitable replacement with your approval. If that’s not possible, all payments (including deposit and travel) will be fully refunded.

Can you perform at our rehearsal?

I’d be happy to! Rehearsal attendance is subject to availability and will be an additional fee + travel costs. Accommodation costs may apply in certain circumstances.

Question 10

Can photos or videos of your performance be shared?

Accepted Answer

You are welcome to share photos or videos of my performance. I may also use photos or short video clips for promotion on my website or social media, always with your permission and in coordination with you and your photographer to ensure it’s unobtrusive.

One live ceremony song of your choice (aisle walk, signing of the register, or exit)
